The Asaf ibn Burhia Mausoleum was built in the XVIII century in keeping with the best traditions of the Fergana architectural school. During its existence, the building was restored many times at private expense of the Osh and Andijan wealthy citizens. The scientists believe justifiably that in place of the mausoleum there used to be an olden religious building, belonging circa X-XII centuries.

Sulayman-Too Museum Complex was established in 1949. Over its long history it changed its name several times. The museum has over 33,000 exhibits, relating to the history, archeology, art, and nature of the southern region of Kyrgyzstan. The exposition of the museum complex was divided into two main sections, devoted to the nature of the region and its history.
